Lavender Valley--What a Treat!

We had heard suggestions to go see Lavender Valley, so by golly that's what we did. It was only about a 45 minute drive from here and I must say it well worth it. We enjoyed not only the beauitful lavender color but also the views of the three large mountains--Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. Next year when we are in this area we definitely want to do it again.

Lavender Valley

We traveled to Lavender Valley Farm last week and we highly recommend it if you are in the area. It is located in scenic Hood River Valley between two snowcapped volcanoes. Seventy varieties and 4 acres of lavender plants are in full bloom June to August. We enjoyed this trip so much--beautiful views--but the family dog, Max, did not like Tom--grrrrrrrr!
